Cesare Davolio: I am  an  Italian designer based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, creating work for the digital and printed medium.
Studies include Goldsmiths College Fine Arts, London, and Postgraduate Course in Fine Arts J.van Eyck, Maastricht.

Operating as freelance designer, animator and illustrator, I have had the opportunity to work for a variety of clients, benefiting from the combination of cultural and commercial commissions, which in turn inspires my personal work.

I am fascinated by the possibilities of visualising online content in a rich and engaging way by exploring storytelling within  interactive and moving media. I am also passionate about developing contemporary narratives in an animated form.

To provide the high quality that requires a well crafted and thought out project I often I collaborate with Stefan Ruissen, an online producer, and Daniel van der Meer, a versatile programmer. Both are very experienced in their respective fields and we have found working together a very productive and exciting experience.

Lately I have also been working with Barry Menger who spearheads Countercreatives, a small but very energetic agency for designers and creatives.

I share my life with Renée Turner, multitalented artist, teacher, thinker and writer. We have a little boy called Eliot, he gives  me his enlightened opinion on my animated projects and together we scrutinise a great deal of animations on tv and the web.
